Yewande started FTLT because she recognized the absence of various options when it came to tea in Nigeria. There were only two major brands that supplied tea dust, but not the actual tea. In her words:

 

"I love drinking tea as a relaxant but also because of its numerous health benefits. I hope my teas improve the quality of life of all my customers in Africa and beyond".
