The journey of Honey’s Scented Company is deeply rooted in the entrepreneurial spirit of its founder, Oyindamola "Honey" Apanpa, who began her entrepreneurial journey several years back at just 19 years old. Over the years, she has worn many hats, successfully launching and managing businesses in fashion retail, personal shopping, catering, event planning, gifting services, and decor. Each venture honed her creativity, business acumen, and passion for delivering thoughtful, high-quality experiences.
In 2020, after relocating from Boston to Dallas, Texas and at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she found herself searching for new opportunities. What began as a hobby crafting clean, skin-safe bath and body products for friends and family quickly blossomed into a full-fledged brand: Honey’s Scented Company. With no immediate job prospects at the time, she leaned into her passion, formally registering the business and setting her sights on creating something unique in the world of home and body care.
Today, Honey’s Scented Company has opened its first retail location: the first Wickless Candle Bar on Inwood Road, Dallas. This space will serve as a creative hub, offering immersive candle-making classes and, eventually, hands-on workshops across the full product line.
At the heart of the brand is a deep commitment to crafting safe, high-quality products that people love while creating memorable experiences through education and community. For her, it’s not just about the products, it is about sharing knowledge, sparking creativity, and building something meaningful with every scent.
